About the Website (SORROWSHOWERS)

Currently this site is a massive work in progress!

This website was coded on a 2880 x 1800px monitor, using VSCode, and is hosted via Github Pages. This is currently v3 of my website, and I do not have any public archives of my older layouts. I use Firefox on Windows 11, but I’m continuously optimizing the site for all browsers, operating systems, and screen sizes.

Accessibility is important to me, as a disabled person myself. If you’ve personally encountered issues regarding accessibility on my website, please don’t hesitate to send me an email! My contact details are listed on the sidebar of this page.

This site’s name is SORROWSHOWERS/sorrowshowers, stylized with either only capital letters or only undercase letters. The name comes from the alias I use online, which comes from… nothing, really. It just sounded cool when I was brainstorming a new username a couple years ago.

Blanket Statement/Disclaimer

I think a lot of people forget that, on the Internet, there’s (almost) always another person behind the screen. That is to say, treat me like a person. I never mean any ill will– please extend grace to me, and I’ll extend grace to you.

Academic Background

I am currently an undergraduate student at Oberlin College aiming to graduate in Spring 2027 with a Bachelor's in Anthropology. I'm minoring in Writing & Communications as well as Book Studies. Some of my research interests include crip/disability studies, internet anthropology, and archival work.

Personal Interests

Outside of classes and work, my hobbies include web design (no way), walking, baking and cooking, biking, rugby, playing video games, and experimenting with new artistic mediums.

Here are some of my media interests:

A Note on Copyright

All of the content on sorrowshowers.me & sorrowshowers.github.io (referred to as “this website, site, sorrowshowers/SORROWSHOWERS, and “us, we, I, me”) falls under the default U.S. copyright protection of fair use.

If you’re looking to use my content in your own creations (blogs, mailing lists, websites, newsletters, etc.), please give credit to Ajax Freyr at SORROWSHOWERS and link back to the original URL. I’m not stingy with how long quotations should be or other nitpicky things like that, all I ask is for credit somewhere visible within the text. In-line citations or footnotes are fine, as well as more informal credits like a short sentence at the end of an article/blog.

Do you still have questions? Feel free to shoot me an email. I don’t bite, I promise!
